Another brick added to the road toward adoption: Scroll endpoints are now officially available via Blast API!

Scroll is a community-first zkEVM-based zkRollup on Ethereum that enables native compatibility for existing Ethereum applications and tools. Scroll relies on zkEVM as its primary component to demonstrate the native EVM implementation trace, and it employs a decentralized proving network to address the issue of prover efficiency. This eliminates the trade-off between security and scale using zero-knowledge protocols, providing the best option for blockchain users and developers — minimum trust assumptions, quick finality, and smooth migration from the base layer.

Scroll aims to scale blockchains so that it can be accessible for billions of users. This requires making Ethereum both scalable and cheap enough to be accessible for all as well as being secure and easy-to-use for the ordinary user. It is crucial to maintain the fundamental characteristics of decentralization and censorship resistance that make Ethereum so potent while working towards greater blockchain scaling.

In an industry as rapidly paced as Web3, developers need up-to-date access to various resources and networks. That’s why Blast’s ecosystem of supported blockchains and API tools is constantly growing, according to the needs of Web3 developers and users.

With the integration of Scroll within Blast API, we add another brick on the road towards mass adoption. We firmly believe that our efforts sync with Scroll’s scope of empowering humanity, #BUIDLing in the open with the community, and fighting for decentralization and censorship resistance.

We look forward to creating new tools and services that will enhance and speed up Scroll #BUIDLers development workflows as we aim to promote widespread Web3 usage.

Let’s take a quick look at how you can use Blast APIs to bring your dApps to Scroll!

How to generate a dedicated Scroll API in Blast

  • Go to blastapi.io
  • Press on Get endpoint or Connect. If you have never used Blast before:
  • Connect with your Metamask wallet or Wallet Connect and follow the steps below.
  • Create a new project to be able to generate your API endpoint or use one of the projects you have already created
  • Inside the project space, go to Available endpoints and activate Scroll.

You now have your own Scroll endpoint!
