Blast L2 is an Ethereum Layer 2 (L2) solution that employs an optimistic rollup mechanism to provide native yield on Ether (ETH) and stablecoins, specifically designed to integrate the yield generation mechanisms inherent in Ethereum post-merge and on-chain Treasury Bill (T-Bill) protocols. It is engineered to be fully compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), allowing for seamless deployment of decentralized applications (Dapps) without necessitating modifications to existing smart contracts. This compatibility is achieved through auto-rebasing features for both ETH and USDB, Blast's native stablecoin, enabling automatic adjustment of balances within externally owned accounts (EOAs) and smart contracts, with the latter having the option to opt-in or opt-out of this feature.
