Our latest stop in the journey through the Web3 space is Base, as we have officially integrated Coinbase’s L2 network between its users and the rest of the crypto world.

Base is an Ethereum L2 network built to bring the next billion users to Web3, incubated by Coinbase. It’s built on OP Stack in collaboration with Optimism, and is designed to offer a safe, low-cost, open-source, and developer-friendly way to build on-chain.

Base is built on the Bedrock release of the OP Stack, which is designed to resemble Ethereum as closely as possible. Because of this, there are little dissimilarities when it comes to building on Base and Ethereum. However, #BUIDLERs should be aware of the discrepancies between the behavior of Base and Ethereum when building dApps on top of Base (such as Opcodes, BlocksNetwork specifications, or Transaction costs).

Blast has integrated Base — both dedicated API endpoints and a public API are now available

The developers building on Base can streamline their work by utilizing Blast as their primary API platform. Leveraging Blast’s user-friendly interface and comprehensive documentation, Base builders can easily generate custom API endpoints with minimal effort. Additionally, they can efficiently manage multiple projects, benefit from high throughput, and enjoy industry-leading response times and exceptional reliability. By enabling node owners to join the Blast Protocol in a permissionless manner as Node Providers, Blast has become decentralized, thereby eliminating the single point of failure. This is crucial for builders, as it reduces risks and ensures that the platform remains resilient and secure.

Blast provides both dedicated APIs that can be tailored to specific project requirements as well as the option to utilize a public API.

  • Press on Get endpoint or Connect.
  • Connect with your Metamask wallet or with Wallet Connect
  • Sign the message prompted by your wallet provider
  • Create a project to be able to generate APIs or use one of the projects you have already built
  • Inside the project space, go to Available endpoints and activate Base to obtain the API

With the integration of Base, Blast now supports over 40 networks and 23 chains and is aiming to become a vehicle for boosting blockchain adoption and supporting Web3 builders from development to production, release, and beyond. The set of blockchain projects available within the Blast platform is carefully selected in order to support Web3 development efforts on the most relevant networks in the industry. For any builder who is ready to start their blockchain journey, the Bware Labs team of experts is available 24/7 via Discord support!
